Apple have announced that Multitasking will be included on the new iPhone OS 4.0…talk about 4 years late.

Apple have derived a way of implementing multitasking without making the foreground laggy. Simply by double tapping the home button the user can see all background applications.

So now the iPhone has finally taken over other smartphone OS.

In other news the apple iPad has shipped over 450,000 units and there has already been 3.5 million iPad application downloads since its release on Saturday.

    The strongest argument made against the iPhone is now redundant :D

    Still think the battery life’s a bit naff, but oh well :s

  2. I can’t wait for multitasking!

    The amount of times I’m copying a url to my mail, or to twitter or something and I have to shut down the app, open a new one, close it, re-open from scratch… it’s just endless!

    Good to see Apple FINALLY providing some really useful facilities!
