Final Fantasy VII – I know this is a little bit of a wierd choice of game but I chose this game to make a little bit of a point aimed at people that design games these days. Lets start with the game though.
Final Fantasy 7 starts off with a Blonde Ex Member of a group called Solider named cloud, He’s fighting alongside a rebel group called AVALANCHE, after a little storyline and blah blah blah they find themselves in pursuit of a First Class Solider named Sephiroth.
Sephiroth wishes the complete destruction of Earth by summoning a Meteor with the Black Materia and by doing so causing so much damage to the planet he will absorb all its energy & Knowledge… dont ask me how. anyways cloud tackles various things on his journey to accomplish this mission and learns alot about himself on the way, including that he was never a member of Solidier and it was all a mix up of memories cause he was an experiment of Hojo’s gone wrong. Cause a Second class Solider called Zack helped him escaped, Overdosed on Jenova cells Zack leads his escape and to save cloud takes on an entire army….
but dont worry you’ll come to know this over a time span of about 5-6 days pending on how much free time you have you can complete this game over a week to 100%. that was a very narrow description of a very small part of the story.
Which brings me to my bad point of this game. Final Fantasy 7 overloads you with information and since theres no Audio, theres alot of reading on your part and if your not paying attention alllll the way to the end you will quickly fall into confusion… what’s this? who’s the hell is that? why should I care if he ate a curry?
Along with the story line being a little misguided. you can acquire 2 extra members to your group. which on my first run through the game was very handy to know when I had already finished the game… I missed out on some major extra part which I didnt get to do in the end cause I didnt have one of the extra members on disc 2.
Good points – With all the bad there is obviously some good considering over 9.8 million people have purchased this game in it’s 14 years since being released. there is obviously a good point in there.
STORY, DEPTH OF CHARECTER’S and EXTRA’S/ADDITIONAL SIDE QUESTS
Alot of modern game like to fill up on one of these factors but never ever attack all three effectively. Final fantasy 7 did just that.
Overall Rating – 7.5/10
(0.5 for the Chocobo racing… its fun! give it a shot!)
Today we see a new MW3 multiplayer game play trailer featuring the new Strike Packages! There are 3 different Strike Packages: The Assault package, the Support package and the Specialist package. The new Strike packages will remove the current ‘Kill Streaks’ format and replace it with a ‘Point Streaks’. The point streaks differ depending which of the 3 strike package your using.
So lets look at the packages in a bit more detail:
The Assault Package
This is for player who loves the body count. From the video we can see the AC130 kill streak, predator missiles, Sentry Gun, Assault Drone.
The Support Package
This is for players who are good team players. This differs from the assault package as it in the sense that if you die your point streak does not reset. From the video we can see UAV jammer, Advanced UAV, Recon Drone, Sentry Gun.
The Specialist Package
This is for a player who needs no help from AI helicopters etc. This differs from the other two packages as you get no ‘point streaks’ but instead you start with 3 perks and get a new perk every 2 kills, so after 8 kills you have all the perks in the game. This seems like an epic package.
Its too early for me to make my mind up, but I can see me using the Specialist Package. What package will you choose?
Over the past 2 days Blackberry users have been frustrated with most of the popular services such as messaging and internet browsing were down. However earlier today RIM the maker of Blackberry said that they were “operating normally”. Shortly after many people on Twitter were complaining that they were having problems and that the server was down again.
A statment from RIM, Blackberry’s make, reads:
“Some users in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, India, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina are experiencing messaging and browsing delays. We are working to restore normal service as quickly as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.”
A recent tweet from the UK_BlackBerry twitter “Some of you are experiencing messaging and browsing delays. We apologise and are working to restore normal service as quickly as possible.” It seems as though the problem is still ongoing.
The first server black out left millions of users without email, web browsing and messaging services following the crash which happened around 11:00 BST on 10 October. This may not seem a very big deal to the average user as im sure they can use other means of messaging other than Blackberry messenger but Blackberry has many business customers, who rely on the service being available 24/7, many business users are swaping to the iPhone, who have concerted effort to improve its support for secure business email systems.
This all adds to speculation that RIM wont last much longer, with them continuing to lose market share to other smartphone’s, this will no doubt also have a negative effect on the companies market share.
You can get your hands on some free food in Greggs this week running from the 10th of October 2011 untill the 17th of October 2011. A different food item will be available each day. The vouchers can be found in the Daily Star which costs around 50p.
iPad Giveways using a fake apple promotion to lure potential customers.
It has sadly come to my attention that there are a large quantities of Fake iPad giveaways appearing on facebook, who are morbidly using the sad loss of Steve Jobs to trick users and earn a quick buck. It seems as though clicking the link automatically shares it on your profile, thus going viral. There are also other apple related pages that are also fake.
Now lets just take a second to explain a bit about how this whole scheme works. Some of the sites in question are genuine, as sick as it may seem to take advantage of the situation, they are simply hoping that you will become their referral in hope that you complete an offer, which of course is a legitimate marketing scheme know as affiliate marketing. However as with such schemes there are always hoax sites such as many of the fake iPad giveaways on Facebook.
So just a little heads up do not fall for these links, avoid clicking any links on Facebook that are offering any sort of ipad/iPhone giveaway related to pages like “In Memory of Steve Jobs, Apple has decided to give away 1000 iPads!”, apple are running no such promotion.
In these hard times
A time of recession
A threat to ones Jobs
A threat to ones pensions.
We are told to be prudent
And manage on less
A time for austerity
To get us out of a mess.
You are expecting alot
From those unemployed
And those losing their jobs
Will certainly be annoyed.
You Can Do it
If you are well off
Like a P.M. or a banker
Who won’t lose his job
To have a Bulldog spirit
Is certainly a big ask
Not for those who can
But especially for those who can’t
A Can Do society
And a Bulldog Spirit
Are alright for those
Who can afford to be in it.
D.M Jackson.
This is a poem that im sure alot of you share the same thoughts. Its very easy for David Cameron to say that we should have a can do attitude, when hes getting a pay rise. He can easily live within his means unlike many people in this country. /Rant
Steve Jobs, the Apple co-founder and former CEO, has sadly died at the age of 56 after a long and emotional battle with cancer. Tributes are pouring in from all over the world for Mr. Jobs, who was arguably one of the biggest influences to technology in the world today. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.
Though he would have provide us with so much more given the time, there’s no doubt that he changed the world dramatically with his ideas and products. The iPod was first a sensational hit, let alone the iMac, iPhone, and iPads. His products have quickly been regarded as the most technologically advanced, and sought after all over the globe, with the iPhone being the preferred choice of mobile phone for most users. The potential is endless, with software being updated daily, new products coming out regularly containing improved features.
He will go down in history not only as the catalyst in a giant leap in technology, but also a gentleman and true inspiration to millions all over the world. He continued to work regularly, and very bravely against the odds, which indicates just what type of person he was. Bold enough to claim that he could change the world, and yet talented enough to do it.
On behalf of everybody I’m sure, I thank Steve Jobs for everything he has accomplished and brought to us all, and I also give my sincere sympathy to his family and friends in this deeply emotional time.
