Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Movies have been a huge part of our culture now for nearly a century. In the 1920s people would go to the cinema to see the news – how far modern technology has come! Nowadays there are thousands of great films you can watch, and with TVs getting thinner and wider all the time, there’s never been a better way to enjoy them.

Bluray however changes all of this. DVDs, which have been used extensively in the last decade, are now becoming obsolete, as the next generation of video storage is becoming mainstream. Now you can watch your favourite movies in glorious 1080p high definition.
Just like how DVDs took over from VHS, Bluray is going to take over from DVDs, so you’ll need one soon enough, and when’s a better time to get a new piece of technology then right now, in the festive season.
With advances in modern technology, Bluray players are no longer bulky and expensive, and you can now pick one up for a great price.
We have left the recommended model blank, as although I’ve rambled on about blurays, I have no clue about them, and I’m sure you could find a good deal

Whats are weirdest and best things you have seen carved into a pumpkin?
Apple rumors are never clear-cut, but they’ve never been as weird as they are today. It all started when Dan Lyons, a.k.a. Fake Steve Jobs, dared Daring Fireball’s John Gruber about a host of new Apple products due to be unveiled today.
Gruber quickly replied with a short article, stating a few things that apple could be unveiling today. The list is as follows:
– redesigned plastic MacBooks
– redesigned iMacs,
– updated Mac Minis, including one that’ll ship with Mac OS X Server
– multi touch Magic Mouse
– a new multi-touch trackpad gadget for desktop Macs
Although an Apple Tablet is nowhere in sight, this list contains some pleasant surprises, especially the multi-touch Magic Mouse.
Yep, thats right… youtube user “bradsmith182″ used a programme called Lunar Magic to spell “Lisa… Will you marry me?” in Super Mario World.
He says that she “may not look too surprised in the video but you should of seen her afterwards, she couldn’t sit still!”
It wasn’t staged, but he did sit her down and told her to play some Super Mario World, but she didn’t know she was being recorded!!

Channels like Babestation are reaping the benefits during the recession, so expect this to become the norm in the near future lads…and all ladys that are interested
It has been reported in the media, that cash strapped women are turning to private webcam shows, to bring in extra income during the recession. A woman speaking on Radio one explained how her house was a normal family home upstairs, but downstairs she had a set for private showings. She told radio one how she could make up to “£30 an hour”, but lets be honest you would have to be a sucker to pay that when they could just find some free prawn on the interwebz.
Its been estimated that the Private Webcam industry is on the up during the recession, generating £1 million revenue per year. However there are worries that women are being forced into so-called “online escorting”, which is personally think is a load a bull.
Apple revealed their new iPod Nano yesterday, and it is the fifth generation of the iPod Nano, and it’s the best so far. The new iPod Nano 5th generation comes full of new features including a built-in camera and FM radio.

The new iPod Nano hosts a built-in speaker, built-in microphone, camera with video capabilities, comes in different nine colors, FM Tuner with Live Pause, pedometer, VoiceOver, voice memos support and a 2.2″ screen with a 376 x 240 resolution. The New iPod Nano’s camera records video at VGA 640 x 480 quality, H.264 at 30fps with AAC audio and comes with fifteen real-time special effects.
The new iPod Nano has a battery life of 24 hours continuous audio playback and 5 hours of video playback.

The other day I reported on the possibility of a new iPod Touch being released today, however, this prediction was incorrect and it was in fact a new iPod Nano that hosted an in-built video camera. There has been slightly better version of the iPod Touch however it just has a faster CPU.
I have an iPod Touch 2nd gen at the moment, and this new update has tempted me to sell this and go for the new iPod Nano, as the camera would be useful but the FM radio and pedometer may prove more useful to me and neither of these are built into the iPod Touch 2nd Gen. I’m not sure what colour I should choose if i was to get one… i’m drawn towards green, but what would you choose ?
